Chocolate of the Month Club

There too many clubs that are available to join in the community. There are car clubs, book clubs, fishing clubs, and many more. Even so, there's room for one more: the Chocolate of the Month Club.  Now this is a club that I can remain a member of for years to come.  They send hand-made chocolates of all kinds, from heavenly truffles to cashew clusters. 

My membership to this particular chocolate of the month club was given to me by my sister.  She knows that I love chocolate and thought this would be a fun gift for me. And since they send one pound of these delightful things a month I won't gain too much weight from it. (Did you know that when you break a piece of candy that all the calories leak out?)

One of the best days of the month is when the package from the chocolate of the month club arrives.  Each month there is a different chocolate treat to savor and the club delivers the package right to your doorstep. The monthly package of yumminess will also have a different theme, depending on the time of year.

In December the club delivered chocolate treats that centered on the Christmas holiday.  In February, of course the chocolate treat was celebrating Valentine’s Day in style.  That is the nice thing about the selections from the chocolate of the month club; they are not the same types of candies that you see in the stores.  Each offering from the club is unique in how it is presented and in its taste. They also send a newsletter that explains other chocolates and provides insights on the monthly selections.

My sister had given me a 3 month membership.  My wife and I had enjoyed the treats so much we decided to extend the membership.  We started looking around and were surprised to find that there are several chocolate of the month club offerings available.  Each club offers different chocolates from different companies and areas of the world.  We decided to try a different chocolate of the month club for the next 3 months to compare it to the club my sister had signed us up with.

Each chocolate of the month club has different pricing.  Based on what the item is for each month the shipping and handling as well as quantity will vary.  Each chocolate of the month club tries to keep the cost consistent from month to month, but because the weight of the chocolate creations varies as well as the cost of the chocolate from various areas in the world, the amount that is received each month is different and the shipping and handling cost vary also.

We are looking forward to trying out several of the different chocolates that will be coming our way each month to see which program we like the best.
